Following Council's public commitment to meet the highest environmental standards during the construction of the Sherwood Bus Depot, could the Town Clerk please advise under which organisations rating or classification system is Council proposing to construct the depot according to "a four-star green rating".
Answer: The most comprehensive ESD assessment tool is that of the Green Building Council of Australia which is recognised nationally. The contract with the successful proponent to build the bus depot requires a 5 – Green Star (Australian Best Practice) design and as-built rating using their Industrial v1 rating tool issued in April 2010.
